In response to our reporting, the Oblates say they now plan to open an investigation into him. According to their policy, they could refer him to secular authorities.

To date, Gauthier has not been criminally charged in relation to abuse at St. Michael's.
There is so much more to this story. The people accused of these crimes were part of a much larger system. And the damage it caused still reverberates today.
