Imagine a life filled with blanks. Most #Adoptees live that experience. Adoptees United Inc. works to eliminate the inequality of denying adult adoptees their own truths and identities. Support that work by purchasing a pack of “Intentionally Blank” cards. https://t.co/Ar1bgecYB5

To Veronica Brown
Veronica, we adult adoptees are thinking of you today and every day. We will be here when you need us. Your journey in the adopted life has begun, nothing can revoke that now, the damage cannot be undone. Be courageous, you have what no adoptee before you has had; a strong group of adult adoptees who know your story, who are behind you and will always be so.

I think I may have posted this link before, I don't recall:http://www.politicalresearch.org/2014/02/23/the-adoption-crunch-the-christian-right-and-the-challenge-to-indian-sovereignty/#sthash.an9vnIyW.dpbs
ReplyDeleteThe article from 2 years ago talks about adoption and the political alignment of some right wing Christian groups & other conservatives to destroy ICWA - apparently to both get more babies for hte adoption industry as well as break tribal sovereignty. I think the Pages have become aligned with these groups too. Their church pushes some sort of 'adoption ministry' (raise orphans for our version of the baby Jesus!) and they slam ICWA on their websites.
Thank you - you are correct. It's been going on a long time.
